Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our asset management team in Lisbon. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work in an international and fast-paced environment, where you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our real estate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop effective working relationships with operational departments, asset and property managers, accounting teams, and other key business stakeholders.
  • Support the asset management team with administrative tasks, such as property registration and tenant billing.
  • Manage tenant billing for charges and rents, and ensure timely reconciliations and reporting.
  • Follow up on unpaid rents and manage bad debt procedures and reporting.
  • Develop into a Subject Matter Expert in Property Accounting processes and act as backup to other future property accountants.
  • Use Yardi software for property accounting and financial reporting tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in account receivable.
  • Experience reviewing bank statements, preparing reconciliations, and investigating variances.
  • Experience with Yardi ERP is a strong asset.
  • Experience working with commercial properties is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
