Job Summary

This role will be part of the Infrastructure Team, responsible for developing and supporting the IT Infrastructure of Metroline and its group-owned companies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Infrastructure Head/Team and project managers to assist in delivery, design, and development.
  • Maintain effective and efficient infrastructure services used for the delivery of IT solutions across all areas of the business.
  • Provide 3rd line support for fault resolution.
  • Design and implement secure infrastructure to support evolving company needs.
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the infrastructure.
  • Maintain regular relationships and escalate and work with vendors.
Essential/Desirable Criteria
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with Citrix, VMware, Storage Technologies, Windows Server, Azure, Office, and MDM.
  • Experience of configuration of Networking, LAN/WAN, MPLS, SDWAN, and firewall technologies.
  • Experience of integrating and onboarding new Business Acquisitions into existing Infrastructure and Services.
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Excellent SharePoint knowledge and configuration skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent collaborator with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Prioritisation and organisation skills.
  • Previous experience within a demanding environment.
  • Full manual driving licence.
Competencies & Skills
  • Certification in one or more of VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, Storage Technologies, or similar Technologies.
  • Microsoft Office (Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, PKI, VMware, Azure/AWS, NetApp).
  • Experience of integrating and consolidating other Businesses into the Environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Strengths in logical analysis, and an ability to think creatively to deliver solutions.
  • SharePoint, consolidating of file storage, and Standardising of SharePoint sites.
  • Demonstrate a strong 'can do' attitude and willingness to progress.
  • Present a professional image when representing Metroline.
  • Use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines and procedures.
  • Have a professional and patient manner when supporting users.
  • Able to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.
  • Being proactive and meet agreed SLA's and project timelines and budgets.
  • Skills in adapting, multi-tasking, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of network security, network management tools, and network automation.
  • ITIL/Change management or similar process experience.
  • Good experience of Unix systems.
Hours of Work

38 hours per week between the core hours of 8.00am and 17.30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional scheduled non-business hours work (maintenance, upgrade, patching etc.).
