About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Hays Construction and Property. As a key member of our Building Services department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality MEP documentation and technical construction documentation for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver MEP documentation on projects in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain professional working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Attend meetings and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Manage MEP projects from conception to completion
  • Review and approve work produced by junior team members
  • Perform design calculations and create MEP system drawings
  • Write system specifications and feasibility reports
  • Attend site visits to inspect installations on behalf of clients or the company
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of design experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with RIBA stage of construction design work
  • Experience with different types of design contracts, including design and build and traditional
  • Understanding of data confidentiality and employee wellbeing
  • Proficiency in software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Electrical OM, Revit, and Dialux
  • Chartered engineer status with the ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) is highly desirable
  • Master's degree in engineering or physics or science-based degree
  • Membership to CIBSE, IET, or IMechE
