About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hackney. As a key member of our teaching team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality learning experiences across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and assessments.
  • Lead small group interventions and catch-up sessions to support pupils with varying educational needs.
  • Cover classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 when needed, ensuring continuity and consistency in teaching and learning.
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to inform future learning strategies.

Requirements
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting (Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Passion for education and supporting young learners.
