Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Randstad Technologies Recruitment. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing our equipment, both in the depot and at customers' sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service plant equipment, particularly pumps, within the depot.
  • Perform major repairs on equipment.
  • Refurbish end-of-life equipment to restore it to its original condition.
  • Assist with loading and unloading pumps and generators using a Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck.
  • Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained to a high standard.
  • Report any major problems to the Foreman/Depot Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety directives, including PPE and accident reporting.
Requirements:
  • NVQ, Guilds, or Apprenticeship in Mechanics or a similar field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical jobs, with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or similar.
  • Command of diesel engines.
  • UK driving license.
  • Valid work permit.
