Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Dealership Accountant to join our team at Command Recruitment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the motor industry and experience with accounting packages such as Kerridge or Pinnacle.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical accounting skills, exceptional leadership skills, and a good sense of humour. They will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate management accounts, developing controls to maximize returns and cash flow, and utilizing their financial and management experience to ensure the effective running of the dealership.

The role will involve:

  • Monthly management accounts, providing detailed analysis and commentary
  • Collation and examination of purchase and sales ledger information
  • Supervision of accounts staff and sales administrators
  • Analytical support across the business, evaluating profit optimisation
  • Monitoring performance measurement tools and techniques
  • Review of capital and project appraisals
  • Consolidation of group budgets and forecasts
  • Investigative and analytical exercises as required

The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development and growth of a busy dealership, with a £40m+ turnover. They will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts function and will have the opportunity to progress within the company.
