Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our growing Health and Safety team. As a Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will assist the business in its undertaking and offer practical advice on the measures which need to be undertaken to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed upon the business due to any statutory provisions laid down for the health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors, or any persons who may be affected by the business acts or omissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation, monitoring, and reviewing of Health and Safety and well-being strategies, procedures, risk assessments, site safety plan, and safe working practices in line with the Global Safety Framework.
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety and well-being culture and assist to improve Health and Safety performance.
  • Action any safety concerns raised by employees, managers, safety representatives, visitors, contractors, or members of the public.
  • Assist management and development of the Global Safety Framework.
  • Assist in the identification of training needs for employees and assist with the delivery of training as required.
  • Support the carrying out and/or review of risk assessments where required.
  • Carry out workplace inspections in order to proactively identify where Health and Safety may be improved.
  • Support managers with investigations and facilitate necessary steps to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Assist with preparation of Health and Safety reports and statistical performance data as required.
  • Keep up to date with current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all departments at all levels.
  • Take an active role in any company projects or initiatives which will improve wellbeing and Health and Safety.
  • Actively engage with the factory floor to facilitate communications.
  • Attend and chair safety meetings as required.
