We are seeking a skilled Cloud-Enabled Software Developer to join our team at Dunstan Thomas Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting our proprietary software, Innovi Web Services (IWS), a suite of cloud-based microservices deployed in Azure.

IWS is a cutting-edge technology that enables the delivery of four distinct products:

  1. Imago Automation - a data aggregation and bulk processing tool.
  2. Imago Connect – a service enabling pensions providers to integrate with the new Pensions Dashboard ecosystem.
  3. Imago CalcTools – A suite of easy to use pensions calculators, helping people make decisions about their personal finances.
  4. Imago Modeller – A sophisticated stochastic pensions modelling tool.

As a Cloud-Based Software Professional, you will have the opportunity to work across products, customers, and teams, leveraging your expertise in C# and Microsoft's development tools. You will be responsible for building and delivering solutions of high quality to time and budget, and will be expected to stay up-to-date with software industry trends.

We are looking for a self-motivated and pro-active software developer with experience developing a variety of applications in C# using Microsoft's development tools and working with.NET. Good object-oriented analysis and design skills, familiarity with design patterns and practices are essential. Previous experience in the finance or pensions industries would be beneficial.

A commitment to building and delivering solutions of high quality to time and budget, and a personal desire to keep up to date with software industry trends would all be beneficial. An eagerness to learn is essential. The candidate should show a desire to continuously improve both themselves and their team, and take pride not only in what they develop, but in how it is developed, tested, and maintained.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, capable of working well in a team as well as on their own if required. Ideally, they should have some experience working iteratively using SCRUM or a similar agile methodology, or at least be comfortable in an environment where change occurs regularly and rapidly. They will also have an excellent knowledge of emerging technologies and trends, be professional and presentable, and have a desire to constantly improve their skills and take the initiative in driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

Essential skills and experience required include:

  1. Entity Framework Core
  2. Angular
  3. Testing frameworks (xUnit, nSubstitute, Karma & Jasmine)

Additional desirable skills and experience include:

  1. Microsoft Service Fabric
  2. SignalR
  3. Identity Server (OAuth 2.0 & OpenID)
  4. Terraform
  5. Docker (on Windows – preferably with experience deploying to Service Fabric)
  6. SQL Server
  7. SonarQube, Zap & SBOM Analysis
  8. Swagger & AutoRest
  9. AutoMapper

Duties will include owning the complete CI/CD process, writing code, performing code reviews, managing build scripts and environments, writing integration tests, overseeing zero-downtime live deployments, documenting and automating wherever possible.

Location: Preferably Portsmouth with options for hybrid working; remote will be considered.
