Immunisation Nurse Opportunity

Bank Partners is seeking a skilled Immunisation Nurse to join their team in Lewisham. As a member of the School Age Vaccination Service, you will play a crucial role in supporting the safe delivery and triage of nasal flu and other vaccination programmes.

The successful candidate will have previous NHS experience, be NMC registered, and have a strong desire to deliver compassionate hands-on care in a hospital environment. Experience within immunisation is essential, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess young people and understand the pre-requisites of giving an immunisation, including contra-indications, aftercare, and relevant advice.
  • Contribute to the identification and protection of children at risk of abuse, adhering to local Safeguarding Children's Board guidelines.
  • Understand relevant Patient Group Directions, chapters in the Immunisation Green Book, and storage and carriage instructions for immunisations.
  • Participate in health promotion/education and public health activities related to the Childhood Immunisation Campaign.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and independently to achieve goals.
