Residential Children's Services Deputy Manager Position

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Children's Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met and providing a positive and safe living experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work on shift to ensure the home runs efficiently and effectively to a high standard and young people are safeguarded at all times.
- Manage a staff team and deputise for the Home Manager in their absence.
- Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
- Promote effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, and other professional agencies.
- Assist in the development and delivery of the objectives identified in the young person's Plans.
Requirements:
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold Level Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up to date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Hold a QCF Level qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Commitment to commence relevant level Diploma within months of appointment.
- A minimum of years' previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behaviour.
- Experience of working with outside agencies, other professionals, parents, and families.
- Excellent report writing and numeracy skills.
- Well organised with excellent administration and IT skills.
