Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Viking. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse equipment and systems.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing planned maintenance and breakdown repair work on conveyor system equipment, packaging and storage equipment, as well as site services. This will include electrical and mechanical work, installation and upgrades to onsite equipment and machinery, and maintaining site building services.
You will also support the development of maintenance procedures and maintenance plans, and assist with the installation of new lines and support or execute maintenance activities to ensure maximum availability and improvement of the warehouse equipment/automated lines.
Additionally, you will maintain specialized technical equipment and provide second-line support and install new equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform planned maintenance and breakdown repair work on conveyor system equipment, packaging and storage equipment, and site services.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical work, including installation and upgrades to onsite equipment and machinery.
- Maintain site building services.
- Support the development of maintenance procedures and maintenance plans.
- Assist with the installation of new lines and support or execute maintenance activities to ensure maximum availability and improvement of the warehouse equipment/automated lines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum NVQ 3 level within Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in planned maintenance, breakdown repair, and installation work.
- Flexibility to work across shifts as detailed above with occasional weekend working.
- PLC/Siemens S7 and Mitsubishi knowledge advantageous.
- Electrical/PLC fault finding capability.
The salary for this position is approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
