Job Summary:

Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment specialist seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a locum basis. We are working with the Southern Trust to fill a 15-hour per week position covering the Surestart service in the Newry/Mourne Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service within the Sure Start Project
  • Work as part of the Sure Start team and in close liaison with core Speech & Language Therapy services
  • Provide therapy services to children aged 0-4 years

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field with postgraduate qualification
  • Registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, including 1 year of experience working with children aged 0-4 years
  • Postgraduate training and/or experience in relevant courses, such as Makaton or Hanen
  • Current full driving license and access to a car
