About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Network Rail as a Business Analyst/Sentinel Specialist, playing a key role in improving the safety and efficiency of the rail industry through the effective use of the Sentinel system.

Main Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders to create a clear articulation of business requirements and develop a comprehensive requirements specification.
  • Provide industry best practice knowledge to support the business in the application assessment and scoring of business requirements.
  • Elicit and specify detailed processes, information, and business change requirements that meet business and non-functional needs.
  • Contribute to the delivery of project lifecycle deliverables through the use of established business analysis methods, techniques, and tools.
  • Contribute to the production of high-level project plans and identify, assess, and escalate project risks and issues as appropriate.
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrable business analysis experience.
  • Strong analytical thinker.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written documentation.
  • Strong inter-personal skills; ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Skills
  • ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis.
  • Knowledge of the railway industry.
  • Business process or data modelling experience.
  • Experience in a technology environment.
  • Risk-based testing experience.
