Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team in Bristol and the South West. As a Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects by providing accurate and timely cost information to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
- Work with the Integrated Project Team to establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the change control process.
- Assist in the development of project Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and align the time phasing of budgets against the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Produce accruals to ensure that the Actual Cost of Work Performed is accurately reflected in a timely manner in the cost data.
- Support the development of reporting tracking tools and generate Cost reports on a regular basis, including an analysis of earned value.
- Provide cost information to the project team to develop status reports and support performance management decision making.
Requirements
- Experience of cost control in a project environment.
- Practical experience of using MS Excel and other MS applications.
- Awareness of Earned Value Management (EVM) fundamental concepts.
- Understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Risk Management, Reporting, Change Control) interact with Cost Control.
- UK driving license or ability to travel to client sites across the region as required.
Security Clearance
It is essential that you are a sole British national passport holder, with current security clearance, or the ability to achieve this.
