Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in Sunderland. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to start their career in education.
The successful candidate will assist teachers in delivering high-quality education to students, creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that helps them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Teach a range of subjects to students in Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7) and Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11).
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support students with their academic and social development.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student learning.
Requirements:
- A recent graduate with a degree in any discipline.
- A passion for working with children and a desire to pursue a career in education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with children (voluntary or paid) is desirable.
