Role Overview:

The GerrardWhite global insurance provider is seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to lead their digital transformation journey. This is a unique opportunity to shape the company's technology strategy and drive innovation.

About the Role:

This newly created position will require you to design and implement comprehensive solution architectures for the company's enterprise systems. You will work closely with the IT team, third-party vendors, and the business to ensure successful delivery of best-in-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Develop and document detailed solution architectures, including system components, interfaces, data flows, and integration points.
  • Architecture Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate architectural risks to minimize business disruption and ensure proactive issue resolution.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide clear guidelines and support to engineering, development, and deployment teams to ensure successful implementation of robust architectural solutions.
  • Emerging Technology Research: Research and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend those that align with industry trends and project goals.
  • Cost Optimization: Manage costs by reviewing and optimizing Azure spending, supporting the governance model for cost management in alignment with the infrastructure team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in solutions and enterprise architecture, with a first-class understanding of how systems, applications, infrastructure, and data integrate to form solutions within an insurance environment. Expertise in Azure technologies and modern data technologies is essential, along with relevant certifications such as TOGAF. Experience with MS Power Apps, .Net, and Angular is important, as well as the ability to interact with both in-house and outsourced development resources.

What's On Offer:

A competitive salary and benefits package, with a hybrid working pattern requiring 2 days per week in the city. Please note that this role does not offer sponsorship.

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum.
