Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Supportive Education Assistant to join our team at a thriving primary school in Leeds. As a key member of the school community, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide individualized support to students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering effective lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Student Support: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning experience and promote academic success.
  • Classroom Environment: Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social growth and emotional well-being.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Collaborate with the class teacher to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • SEN Support: Offer specialized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they have equal access to the curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and Experience: Hold relevant qualifications or experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Show patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children while being adaptable to changing circumstances.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Teaching Personnel offers a competitive salary package, as well as opportunities for career development and professional growth.
