About the Role

TPF Recruitment is supporting a dynamic firm of chartered accountants in their search for an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior. Our client is a forward-thinking firm that values staff retention and offers a great working environment. You will work in a general practice capacity across accounts, audit, and tax, with the opportunity to build your role around your experience and aspirations.

You will be exposed to a diverse range of businesses, primarily owner-managed, from £10m turnover to £100m turnover. Reporting to the Audit and Accounts Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed and some not-for-profit organisations.
  • Leading audits from planning through to completion, liaising with the team and client as necessary.
  • Providing accountancy and taxation advice and support to clients as needed.
  • Hosting and conducting pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
  • Assisting in the management of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
  • Mentoring colleagues, reviewing their work, and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Developing and expanding the team's skillset through development plans, training, and support.
  • Contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified
  • At least 3+ years practice experience
  • Highly organised
  • Strong communication skills
