Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with their accounting needs.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and success of our firm. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing, and reviewing accounts for clients
  • Liaising with clients to provide exceptional customer service
  • Forecasting and managing budgets, as well as mentoring junior staff
  • Preparing personal and corporation tax computations, including tax returns and liabilities
  • Working closely with senior team members to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACCA, ACA, or CA qualification or finalist with a proven track record of supporting clients within practice
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
  • Experience using software for accounts production, such as CCH
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and advisory skills
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a team's workflow
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others
