  • The role of a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant involves providing support to students with complex needs between the ages of 4 and 11.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a primary special needs school in the London borough of Harrow. The school has a state-of-the-art ASD Unit that is equipped to nurture intellectual curiosity and empower its students.

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide a professional and passionate approach to developing life skills and independence for the young people they will be supporting. Experience working with Autistic children on a one-to-one basis is essential.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide individualized support to students with complex needs
  2. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
  3. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with special needs students aged 4-11
  • Background in supporting students with Learning Difficulties and complexities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
