We are seeking an experienced Assistant Brand Manager to join our team at Unilever, a leading global supplier of Food, Home and Personal Care products. As an integral part of our fast-paced FMCG environment, you will have the opportunity to work on one of our biggest brands, Comfort, and drive growth through marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Marketing Manager in implementing the UK brand strategy and developing marketing programs.
  • Assist with commercial delivery of the brand, including monitoring and reporting in-market performance and action planning.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and launch innovations, including pack price architecture optimisations, and review success with post-launch evaluations and 100-day tracking.
  • Deliver campaigns and marketing activities, collaborating across functions, teams, and agencies, and bringing teams together to deliver strong digitally led, omnichannel marketing plans.
  • Craft content with a digital-first mindset and work closely with the Digital Hub team to deliver this with excellence to consumers, tracking, monitoring, and assessing performance on-going to optimise and adapt.
  • Represent Home Care within the business, as the key source of knowledge on brand performance and plans.
  • Present to retailers and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage projects and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Strong project management skills, with proven success of leading teams to execute challenging and complex projects, including innovation/renovation development.
  • The ability to work confidently and productively with multiple cross-functional teams, with strong communication, presentation skills, and stakeholder influencing abilities.
  • A balance of creativity and science: think creatively and strategically, with a strong business mindset, being commercially minded with a proven track-record of successfully managing a P&L and budgets.
  • Numeracy and data analysis skills for insight development.
  • You are hungry to understand all the nuances of new categories/segments and emerging channels: have high standards, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial and 'can-do' approach, able to work with and unlock change and complexity to deliver results.
  • Passion about our consumers, our brands, and our purpose.
  • Ambition to learn and proactivity in your own development: learning about the brands and Unilever, but also challenging processes and bringing new ways of thinking and behaving.
  • Be able to demonstrate the Unilever Standards of Leadership and champion the consumer, shopper, and customer in everything you do.
Working Environment:
  • Contractors who are based at Kingston will be eligible to get free parking at a local carpark.
  • There is a Unilever Staff Shop located on the Ground Floor next to the main entrance, where Contingent Workers can buy discounted Unilever products.
  • A canteen.
  • A Gym is available for use on the Ground Floor (with subscription).
  • Facilities in the gym include cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, spin bikes, free weights area, boxing equipment, and a stretch/matted area. Classes are also available and can be booked directly with the Gym. Shower facilities are available in the changing rooms, along with hairdryers.
