Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Leading Hand

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Leading Hand to join our team at Perth and Kinross Council. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of grounds maintenance staff
  • Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment
  • Operate and maintain ride-on grass cutting machines and other equipment
  • Perform physical demands of the post, including driving and manual labor
  • Complete paperwork and administrative tasks, including timesheets and maintenance records

Requirements:

  • Full C1 + E licence and full CPC
  • PA1/6 in pesticide application (advantageous)
  • Ability to work on a variable shift system, including weekends and additional hours
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to carry out physical demands of the post
