Job Summary:

The Infection Preventionist Nurse applies knowledge and experience by offering guidance pertaining to infection control, skin assessments, safety and resident rights, training, education, etc. This position assists with the development, implementation, and modification of policies and procedures. It conducts system reviews, audits, data collection, and creates reports to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. This role leads and participates in QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program, taking a proactive approach to quality care and services with engagement of residents, family members, and staff. Reviews unresolved issues/concerns and any other areas that remain out of compliance from prior meetings to develop a timeframe for correction.

Responsibilities:

  • Must hold current Registered Nurse (RN) license without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain state-specific license.
  • Infection Preventionist Certification; if not currently obtained, must be obtained within first six months of employment.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability.
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary and Benefits:

This position comes with an estimated salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits, Employer Paid Life & AD&D, and 401(k). These benefits are available to full-time employees.
