We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our growing team in Tavistock. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload independently while working collaboratively within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding legal services, exceeding client expectations.
  • Comply with Solicitors Regulation Authority's ethical standards, maintaining strict client confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Undertake fee-earning work independently and as part of a team, contributing to department profitability.
  • Manage private client matters, including Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Trust and Estate Administration.
  • Build and maintain client relationships while fostering connections with third-party referrers.
  • Contribute to department growth by expanding the client database and marketing firm services.
  • Record all chargeable and non-chargeable activities in the firm's time management system.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to cross-refer work and clients within the firm.
  • Manage financial aspects of matters, including cash flow and billing.
  • Maintain organised, up-to-date files according to firm policies.
  • Identify and pursue fee-earning opportunities proactively.
  • Seek professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines and firm policies.
  • Fulfil additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years PQE
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Hands-on experience in Wills, Trusts, Lasting Power of Attorney, and Trust & Estate Administration
  • Excellent client-facing skills; able to nurture existing clients and third-party relationships
  • Ability to develop new business and participate in networking events
  • Strong prioritisation skills; capable of meeting strict deadlines
  • Technical proficiency with good IT skills
  • Strong academic background
