Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Auxtronic Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Wigston, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high-speed, fully automated bakery that manufactures Jacobs crackers and Chocolate digestives.

About the Role:

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, including breakdown support and PPM maintenance. The role requires a strong understanding of fault-finding and repairing machinery, as well as a good knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, including breakdown support and PPM maintenance
  • Conduct fault-finding and repair of machinery
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship
  • 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a high-speed manufacturing environment, ideally Food or FMCG
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a good understanding of fault-finding and repairing machinery
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
