About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Acute Adult Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in our acute adult care service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and ensure timely communication and care planning with Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs).
  • Work collaboratively with CMHTs to ensure continuity of care and robust discharge planning.
  • Provide Responsible Clinician oversight for approximately half of the adult acute care service, covering 10 beds and half the Home Treatment Team (HTT) patients.
  • Be the treating consultant alongside the other Approved Clinician for inpatients admitted to Dinas Male and Female wards and those accepted for the Home Treatment Team.
  • Work closely with the sector consultant, CMHT, and local authorities to provide continuity of care and robust discharge planning.
