Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at the KION Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our automated technology, software, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the quality status within dedicated projects
- Provide support to ensure Quality standards and best practices are applied consistently throughout the various cycles of the project
- Identify Product & Process Lessons Learned for Quality Assurance Activities and facilitate their effective implementation throughout the key departments
- Perform supplier quality management activities for the assigned projects to ensure supplier readiness in line with the Project Scope of Supply
- Follow up on Final Acceptance Test for sub-assemblies, the entire installation, as well as third-party deliveries
- Drive issue resolution and analysis via the Issue Management System across the entire organization and train relevant Project Teams on problem-solving techniques (8D & 5 Why)
- Responsible for conducting/participating in local quality audits, interpreting findings and managing corrective actions
- Support to solve systematic issues to avoid risk within pre-flight (NCC avoidance/reduction; Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives which are key drivers of ongoing risk identification in new opportunities (e.g. Product Risks; Process Risks)
- Drive, facilitate & support all involved functions to pass Pre-Flight Quality Gates
- Approve/reject Review Process outcomes next to other defined SMEs
- Challenging the Solution / Module Specialist and making sure Feedback from Project Execution is filtered and ensured throughout pre-flight is implemented/considered in new opportunities
- Set up and perform Process Compliance Audit Program (Rolling Audit on Process Standardization (Standard Work Packages)

Requirements:

- Educated to a bachelor's degree level in engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering
- Similar experience working in a project-orientated business environment would be an advantage
- Ability to write and produce technical reports and ability to oversee internal and external quality audits
- Strong knowledge of codes, standards and expertise in quality management
- Leader and team player with conflict resilience and, a \"right-first time\" mentality
- Proven skills in quality improvement techniques and Risk Management (Six Sigma & FMEA)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong capabilities in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Data-driven and familiarity with Power BI and/or other data-capturing tools
- Fluent in English. Additional language skills would support our international business environment, but English is required for the role
- Ability and willingness to travel on an ad-hoc basis to client meetings and sites when needed
