Job Title: Senior Finance and Accounting Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance and Accounting Lead to join our team at All Survivors Project. As the Senior Finance and Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial and accounting management to our organisation.

The successful candidate will have a professional accountancy qualification and previous experience in NGOs or organisations being funded primarily through grant-funding. You will have knowledge of budgeting and reporting processes, audit preparation experience, and the ability to present financial information clearly to a wide range of audiences.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Accounting responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping & recordkeeping: Maintain QuickBooks; ensure accurate day-to-day bookkeeping; track income and expenses of ASP's grants; support the team to manage grants through internal reporting and skills building.
  • Payments: Process payments using online banking platform and StoneX, reconciling accounts and credit cards.
  • Payroll processing: Administer payroll and pensions.
  • Cashflow management: Consolidate monthly cash needs from budget holders; compile monthly cash forecasts; ensure timely submission of information to the Executive Director.

**Financial planning and budgeting responsibilities:**

  • Budgeting: Develop and manage annual and project-specific budgets.
  • Quality control: Ensure completion and quality of deliverables prior to payment of invoices; ensure all procurement is executed according to policies and regulations, including the review of consultant agreements, expense reports and travel advances for accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.

**Operations:**

  • Systems administration: Strengthen and maintain financial systems, including policy updates and documentation.
  • Governance and compliance: Prepare and present quarterly financial reports to the Board of Trustees; submit RTI to HMRC on time.

**Salary:** £56,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

**Location:** The role requires a hybrid of home and office-based working. ASP accommodates flexibility in working hours.
