About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant General Manager to join our team at Drake & Morgan Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our bars and restaurants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a culture of actively seeking feedback from customers and implementing actions to continuously improve the guest experience.
  • Cover and manage the venue in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring seamless execution of common objectives.
  • Agree and implement revenue generation initiatives, managing sales and conversion to drive business growth.
  • Support the implementation of menu changes, special requirements, and outstanding orders or work tasks prior to service.
  • Review and communicate financial information to assist in proactive and timely decision making.
  • Manage monthly stock-takes, reviewing results and variances with relevant departments.
  • Ensure adherence to in-house control systems and audit requirements, maintaining/developing specific departmental control systems to meet or exceed food and beverage margins.
  • Control costs without compromising standards and customer experience, forecasting potential revenues and costs for revenue/cost centres.
  • Build and maintain an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards the objectives of the business.
  • Support the recruitment and selection of employees to agreed staffing levels, using cost-effective recruitment methods.
  • Support the management of all employees' performance in line with job descriptions, giving regular feedback and appraisals.
  • Assist in the management of disciplinary and grievance issues within the department, in consultation with the General and Operations Managers.
  • Ensure a safe workplace by identifying and reporting hazards, taking corrective action.
  • Review and communicate health and safety audit reports, initiating required action with relevant departments.
