Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our department.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to take a full part in delivering the undergraduate curriculum, both to trainees and medical students attached to the department. They will also be responsible for taking a full part in the delivery of the postgraduate curriculum, including the training of junior doctors and medical students.
About the Department
Our department is a busy and supportive environment with a strong commitment to high standards of patient care. We have a reputation for providing advice and treatment for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including pre-menstrual problems, fertility, bladder dysfunction, and uro-gynaecology. We also have specialist clinics for FGM women, colposcopy, menopause, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, and fibroids.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in obstetrics and gynaecology, with excellent clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be expected to have a broad general obstetrics and gynaecology experience, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to have a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), full GMC registration, and a CCT or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of AAC. They will also be expected to have ATSM in advanced labour ward and a higher degree (MD or PhD) if possible.
