Join Our Team as an Underwriting Technician

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is a leading provider of commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance coverages. We are seeking an Underwriting Technician to join our Power Technical Property Team in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the Power Technical Property Team is enabled to transact business effectively by accurately recording data, investigating issues, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Act as Coordinator for all UK Property Underwriting Technicians, identifying suitable tasks, training, and feedback.
  • Assist the Underwriting Manager with data management and oversight reporting.
  • Coordinate UK Property Underwriting Technicians to support all Property Teams.
  • Assist with coordination with Risk Control and build and maintain reporting suites.
  • Provide inputs to relevant risk modelling tools and support management in producing and monitoring portfolio and facility metrics.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of commercial insurance experience, preferably in Technical Property.
  • In-depth understanding of underwriting practices throughout the policy life cycle.
  • Excellent competence in MS Office applications.
