Senior Urban Economist Job Description

Dar, a leading international consulting organization, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Urban Economist to join its Economics Department in London.

The successful candidate will provide strategic, economic, and financial advisory services to clients across various sectors, including real estate, environment, social infrastructure, and transport. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing economic strategies for regional and urban plans using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Conducting business cases, feasibility studies, and economic impact assessments.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines in project delivery and ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Contributing to project proposals and business development activities.
  • Traveling for client meetings and workshops as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong first degree in economics, urban and regional planning, or a related field, and a postgraduate qualification is an advantage. A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant consulting or project development experience is required, along with strong communication, analytical, and technical skills.
