About the Role

Bio-Techne is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality biological reagents, and we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Chemist to join our ancillary materials manufacturing team in Bristol. This team is responsible for the manufacture of ancillary materials under the principles of cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) for the Tocris brand (a Bio-Techne Brand).

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the ancillary materials team to deliver assigned products following the process and timescale as defined in the relevant batch documentation.
  • Ensure any deviations from process are recorded and rapidly brought to the attention of the team.
  • Contribute to process reviews and record work as required in the relevant documentation.
  • Contribute to development of the quality management system by reviewing and updating procedures as required.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on workload, prioritisation, and progress.
  • Work in a safe, tidy, and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • BSc degree or equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience in chemistry (or closely related discipline).
  • Knowledge of practical organic chemistry.
  • Previous experience of working under principles of cGMP highly desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, required quality and safety guidelines.
  • High level of personal productivity.
