We are looking for a highly skilled Academic Director of RE to lead our Religious Education department and drive academic excellence.

As a member of our school community, you will be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. Our school is located in Brent and is known for its commitment to academic excellence and creating a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons that encourage students' critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of religious traditions and beliefs. They will also collaborate with the wider school community to foster a positive ethos that celebrates diversity and promotes respect and tolerance.

About the Role:

  • Design and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that encourage students' critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of religious traditions and beliefs
  • Collaborate with the wider school community to foster a positive ethos that celebrates diversity and promotes respect and tolerance
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure every student reaches their full potential
  • Lead the RE department, providing visionary leadership and guidance to promote excellence in teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • A strong commitment to our school's mission, values, and ethos
  • A deep understanding and passion for Religious Education
  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at a secondary level
  • Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and current educational trends in Religious Education

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
