Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and Review of Tax Schedules: You will be responsible for preparing, reconciling, and reviewing tax schedules, calculations, and disclosure notes for year-end group reporting.
  • Liaising with External Advisors: You will work closely with external advisors to plan, prepare, and submit corporate tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Annual Reconciliation and Posting: You will be responsible for annual reconciliation and posting of corporate tax charges for the group.
  • Transfer Pricing Documentation: You will assist with transfer pricing documentation and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • SAO Documentation and Submissions: You will assist with SAO documentation and submissions to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Criminal Offence Legislation Obligations: You will manage corporate criminal offence legislation obligations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • UK VAT and IPT Calculations: You will prepare UK VAT and IPT calculations and return submissions to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Support to Overseas Business: You will provide tax support to overseas business and other operational departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: You will mentor, coach, and liaise with junior members of the tax and finance team to ensure their development and growth.
  • Ad Hoc Advisory Work: You will support the Head of Tax with other ad hoc advisory work to ensure the company's tax obligations are met.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: You must be a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with part-qualified candidates also considered.
  • Experience: You must have previous experience in corporate tax and/or indirect taxes gained in a large accountancy firm.
  • Skills: You must have at least 2-3 years of experience in tax, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with and influence all types of people and all levels of management.
  • Technical Skills: You must be experienced in Excel and have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
