Job Overview

The Endoscopy Training Lead will play a crucial role in the delivery, maintenance, and improvement of endoscopy training in South East London. This involves collaborating with the SEL APC and the London Endoscopy Training Academy (LETA) to develop and implement effective training strategies.

Main Responsibilities

The post-holder will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering endoscopy training programs
  • Improving access to training for healthcare professionals
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies and delivery of objectives
  • Leading small groups and managing risks and reporting

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • First-level registered Nurse
  • Meets NMC revalidation standards
  • Endoscopy training: JAG certified clinical endoscopists OR JETS workforce training Endo 1-3 / equivalent
  • Leadership training
  • Qualification in teaching and assessing in clinical practice
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing, health, or management-related studies
  • A Master's level qualification/in progress or equivalent experience

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in leading and driving change in complex environments while remaining free from organisational and professional bias

Skills and Abilities

Essential Criteria

  • Numerate, with excellent analytical skills, including the ability to use Excel to analyse and present complex quantitative data
  • Ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive, and contentious information and present complex and sensitive information to large groups and senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
