Interim Medical Director Role

Job Summary:

Practicus is seeking an experienced Interim Medical Director to lead our Clinical Governance/Quality team and contribute to Board meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency, urgent care, or OOH services, with excellent management and commercial acumen skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical governance and quality of care
  • Lead the Clinical Governance/Quality team and provide guidance and support to team members
  • Collaborate with GPs, hospitals, and commissioners to build strategic partnerships
  • Ensure a positive and accountable working culture within the organization
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in emergency, urgent care, or OOH services
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Excellent commercial acumen and ability to build strategic partnerships
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
