Multi Skilled Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Technician to join our client's Engineering department in Southampton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, reliable service to passengers, tenants, and other internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance work on engineering assets to ensure optimum serviceability and meet customer-agreed service levels.
- Carry out tasks requiring in-depth technical competence in Building Service Engineering, adhering to CIBSE guidelines, or work in other disciplines where you have competent skills.
- Receive and close down work orders, entering accurate data and using maintenance system data to understand individual, team, and asset performance.
- Ensure all engineering and operating records are updated to meet business, regulatory, and manufacturer requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment and contribute to the development of a safety culture.
- Maintain stock levels and arrange the return of repairable items to the relevant service centre or manufacturer.
- Comply with Health and Safety, Security, and Environment/Sustainable Development Policies, minimizing risk to self, colleagues, customers, staff, and the environment.
- Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, including City & Guilds or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience of Electro-Mechanical or Building Service Engineering.
- Proven experience in Engineering practices.
- City and Guilds in 18th Edition IEE Regulations (or 17th Edition with further training to 18th Edition).
- A full clean driving license.
- A good knowledge of computers and electronic principles.
The successful candidate will work within a wide range of local and external business policies, procedures, and regulations, including CAA, DFT, Building Regulations, Public Health England, and Fire Safety.
Salary: £20.04 per hour, including £17.78 base rate plus £2.26 per hour shift pay.
Hours: 40 hours per week on a shift pattern basis.
