Job Summary

UHS Pharmacy Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Superintendent Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in our outpatient pharmacy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical screening and accuracy checking of medication prescribed to patients
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacy staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Manage and maintain accurate and detailed records of all medications processed through the pharmacy

Requirements

  • Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration as a practising pharmacist
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experiential practice
  • Management training/qualification or equivalent experience

Person Specification

  • Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration as a practising pharmacist
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experiential practice
  • Management training/qualification or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Royal Pharmaceutical Society membership
  • Leadership training/qualification

Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary

  • Experience of managing and leading a community pharmacy business or hospital pharmacy department
  • >= 6 years' considerable work experience
  • Experience of managing a team and service
  • Experience of training staff
  • Evidence of being able to manage change
  • Knowledge and experience of UK Tax system regarding VAT
  • Sound knowledge of Pharmacy law, ethics, and practice
  • Track record of critical evaluation skills applied in practice
  • Proven track record of service development and project management
  • Highly developed negotiation, influencing and interrogative skills
