Job Summary:
IT Infrastructure Engineer - North East at DXC Technology Inc.
This role involves providing onsite support to ensure the smooth operation of our data centres in the north east of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating complex problems to senior engineers.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as visual inspections, power-cycles, and cable testing
* Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes
* Escalate complex problems to senior engineers for resolution
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
* Maintain accurate records of tasks performed and outcomes achieved

Requirements:
* Basic understanding of IT operations in a big organization
* Strong loyalty regarding data and DC facility security
* Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing)
* Ability to work precisely and quality-oriented
* Maturity, high level of reliability & sense of responsibility
* Flexibility and willingness to cope with unexpected problems and situations
* General technical orientation
* Competent and professional communication with a commercial attitude over the phone
* Capacity to understand and clarify customer expectations effectively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office environment and general PC hardware

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
