We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of novel metasurfaces for wireless communication and sensing applications.

Estimated Salary: £25,728 - £32,951 per annum

Job Description

The successful candidate will design, develop, and characterize metasurfaces that can reflect or transmit electromagnetic waves in the required direction. The project involves using optically transparent materials to create surfaces that can be placed on building or vehicle windows, enabling the enhancement of signal strength in dead zones for future 5G wireless communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience with electromagnetic simulations and modeling software;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 7.0 or above).
