Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Project Lead to join our team in CLFIS Limited. The successful candidate will lead bulk annuity strategic projects, ensuring appropriate actuarial controls and monitoring of pricing are in place.
This role will manage, motivate and develop the performance of a group of individuals in their team and collaboratively work with teams across the UK, Canada, and with external parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of qualified actuaries and trainees responsible for the development & pricing of bulk annuities under bulk annuity strategic projects.
- Communicate to and influence Senior Executives on the impact, pricing, and otherwise of bulk annuity quotations under strategic projects.
- Develop, gain approval, and execute pricing & reinsurance arrangements for bulk annuity strategic projects.
- Review and produce actuarial reports, including pricing reports, and statements.
- Provide support to strategic project programmes as required, including external negotiations, and contribution to the bulk annuity strategy.
Requirements
- Previous experience of managing a team and resource planning is essential.
- Knowledge of UK Bulk Annuity markets and reinsurance structures.
- Analysing and reasoning skills, to reach sound and defensible conclusions / recommendations based on data.
- Ability to apply actuarial techniques to business problems.
- Influencing skills in order to manage a range of stakeholders to enable delivery of desired objectives.
- Strong communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical and pricing concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
- Able to build relationships with people at all levels.
- Understanding and ability to implement/maintain an actuarial control framework.
