The role of Financial Operations Manager is critical in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards and internal control frameworks. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, while your analytical and problem-solving skills will help you to identify and resolve complex financial issues.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, allowing you to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in achieving our goals and objectives. Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the month-end close process for designated Business Areas
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical accounting standards and internal control frameworks
- Provide guidance and support to embed best practices within daily operations
- Lead and continuously improve assigned key financial control processes and standards
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve balance sheet discrepancies and accounting issues

Requirements

- Qualified Finance professional with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under deadline pressures, e.g. month end, year-end
- Strong technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment as well as work independently with self-direction
