Production Shift Leader

Mowi Canada West is seeking a highly skilled Production Shift Leader to join our team in Rosyth. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of production processes, with a focus on maintaining and elevating product quality and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of production staff.
- Proactively manage employee relations cases in line with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular safety training and audits.
- Oversee the implementation of health and safety initiatives and ensure all staff are aware of safety protocols.
- Oversee and enforce food safety protocols to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, including HACCP principles.
- Maintain rigorous quality assurance protocols to monitor and enhance product quality.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address food safety and quality issues.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and refine food safety plans, ensuring continuous improvement in food safety practices.
- Previous experience in a production management role within the FMCG sector, preferably in food processing.
- Strong knowledge of production management, food safety, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite.
- Minimum B2 Level of English.
- Certification in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) or similar quality assurance programs.
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
