Job Overview

As a Second Miller at ADM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the mill produces high-quality flour that meets our stringent quality parameters. You will work closely with the Shift Miller to analyze flour production, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize mill performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze flour production data to ensure it meets quality specifications.
  • Work with the Shift Miller to identify and implement improvements to mill performance.
  • Ensure good communication with colleagues and customers to provide excellent customer service.
  • Prepare customer information and certificates as required.
  • Operate the weighbridge and silo wheat systems as needed.
  • Provide accurate stock counts and reports for all commodities.
  • Assist the Shift Miller in setting mill and screen room machinery to optimize performance.
  • Identify and report mechanically failing items of plant for repair.
  • Undertake sifter repairs as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the plant and suggest solutions.
  • Hand over to the next shift in a clean and organized state, communicating any unusual situations to the next Second Miller.
  • Work within Company Safety and Health guidelines and promote a culture of safety.
  • Ensure all food safety compliance requirements are maintained within the plant.

Requirements
  • City & Guilds in Flour Milling course (or in the process of completing it).
  • Experience working on shifts in a flour mill.
