About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration & Catering Engineer to join our team at The Peninsula London. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cold rooms, refrigeration, and catering equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance requests: Ensure that all maintenance requests are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to our established policies and procedures.
  • Cold room and equipment maintenance: Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works on cold rooms and refrigeration & catering equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Inspection and testing: Conduct regular inspections and testing of refrigeration & catering equipment to ensure compliance with industry guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaboration and coordination: Collaborate with other engineers and external contractors as necessary, and interact with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a similar environment.
  • Trade certification or NVQ level in Refrigeration & Catering.
  • Basic knowledge of building services, including HVAC systems and plumbing and drainage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
