About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Health Nurse to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Physical Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical health needs of our patients are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate physical healthcare plans and treatments to maintain patients' optimum level of physical well-being.
  • Support staff in carrying out routine and ad hoc tests, such as blood screening and ECGs, and ensure results are recorded appropriately.
  • Lead the development and review of care plans for physical health, ensuring patients' needs are met.
  • Ensure patients receive prescribed treatments, such as Naso-gastric tube feeding, and update care plans accordingly.
  • Lead smoking cessation initiatives and promote healthy living topics, such as obesity and exercise.
  • Attend ICR meetings and contribute to the development and review of physical healthcare plans.
  • Chair the Hospitals healthy living group and provide professional advice and education to staff.
  • Undertake audits and facilitate educational workshops on physical healthcare best practices.
  • Support immunisation initiatives and offer healthcare and health promotion across a range of conditions.

Requirements

  • Hold a full and valid NMC registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Experience in NG feeding and phlebotomy.
  • Experience of training others.
  • Understanding of eating disorders and mental health.
