We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in London. This role will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with group policies and local law.

The Role

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of the UK entity, with potential to expand your responsibilities to additional entities in the future. You will be responsible for delivering strong and trustworthy financial statements, championing internal control, and consistently exploring innovative methods to fulfill this commitment.

The role requires a deep understanding of the company's accounting processes and deliverables. You will be responsible for standardizing, improving efficiency, and maintaining quality in period-end closing processes. This will be accomplished through your accounting, balancing, and reconciliation of books, as well as supervision of outsourced accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and review month- and year-end reporting
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting, legal, and tax reporting, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Contribute to the migration of the ERP system
  • Manage month-end closing and reporting to Sinch Group Accounting
  • Coordinate external audit of legal entities
  • Identify and resolve exceptions in accounting processes
  • Provide insights on performance gaps and areas for improvement
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, AGI reports, annual reports, and corporate tax returns
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • 5+ years of professional experience within accounting and/or auditing, with experience in process efficiency projects
  • Solid accounting, auditing, taxation, and reporting skills and knowledge of accounting rules and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of technology, including ERP systems, Excel, and databases
  • Understanding of internal control environments and managerial skills in projects and outsourcing
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
