About the Position

March, the UK's leading provider of critical engineering services, seeks an experienced Gas Equipment Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial gas systems for a MOJ contract, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

As a key member of our team, you will execute planned and reactive maintenance, quickly diagnose and resolve issues, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve client objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and emergency maintenance tasks on commercial gas systems.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
  • Perform small installation works as required.
  • Escalate any issues to the Supervisor/Contract Manager promptly.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota and attend emergency repair works as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve client objectives.
  • Source and provide necessary information for quotes.
  • Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient plant operation without disrupting the client.

Requirements:

  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
  • Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Be proficient in operating SMART devices and completing electronic documentation.
  • Showcase strong fault-finding experience and ability to carry out works on traditional plant equipment through to modern systems.
  • Execute work in a safe and diligent manner.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range between £45,000 and £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
