About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Porter to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a General Porter, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and effective portering service across Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive and responsive portering service to patients, staff, visitors, and service users.
- Undertake the movement of patients, equipment, documentation, linen, waste, and other materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with Trust specifications and respond to service needs as they arise.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the portering service is maintained to a high standard.
Requirements
- Good level of general education (basic English and maths) and willingness to undertake further study to enhance ability to carry out job role more efficiently.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with others (both verbal and written) and provide good customer service skills.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment and ability to apply and maintain standards consistently.
